Our Story
My name is Dr David Paynter and I am a Tennis Dad who struggled to find competitive peer tennis for my daughter Amelia over her teens. Her first AJP Girls Team showed me what good looks like for a girl who loves competitive tennis, so I have set up this website to create a community of like minded teen girls who love playing competitive tennis together with peers of like minds, abilities and age.
"Girls play tennis differently to Boys"
I am working with all levels in the Tennis Community (Local, Region, State & National) to bring this Vision to reality for our teen Girls. The target group are girls are aged 13-18 who want competitive tennis play, are beyond beginners and social play (UTR over 3.5) and not seeking to be professional players (Under UTR 6) . Our community has encouraged Tennis Australia & Tennis Victoria to set up a weekly girls competition at Melbourne Park, and Kooyong to run a weekly Girls Squad.
Please register our 50+ mailing list across Melbourne and share widely to help build the community!

Competition Rubbers is great when kids are small, but when boys grow stronger, girls want to play tennis with girls. AJP GIrls is great when numbers across regions are balanced and teams are committed, but travel between regions quickly becomes time intensive

Squads in clubs are great at supporting all young tennis players, but girls in their teens quickly find they are in the minority to boys and leave. Girls need Girls Squads.
Tennis4Girls is running a Girls Squad at Kooyong on Thursday nights, click the button below to open the registration form.
